“Nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know.” – Pema Chodron

A Psychotherapy Blog: The Mission Statement.

I decided to begin this blog after building a successful private practice. Years of offering psychotherapy and counseling for couples and individuals struggling with anxiety, anger, co-dependence, and relationship issues has led to an accumulation of valuable knowledge and experience yearning to be shared.

While I still offer psychotherapy and counseling to individuals and couples today (I can't ever imagine giving it up!), the driving force behind my decision to begin blogging is my desire to be of greater support and service to a wider audience.

I believe that within our struggles lie opportunities for profound growth, transformation, and healing. Our challenges hold the keys to our deeper strengths, gifts, and true voice.

I feel honored knowing that my commitment to years of training, study, and personal work in the areas of individual psychotherapy, mindfulness, somatic psychology, attachment, couples therapy, and neuroscience has served and resonated with so many people. It truly is a privilege to get to do the work I do.

It is my hope that this blog, will support and inspire you to find greater fulfillment in your life.

Blog Content

Within my writing, I will draw upon my own experiences, challenges, and accomplishments, as well as those of my clients. As human beings on this journey, we share similar struggles, thus we can learn from one another how to best move forward, reach our true potential, and experience genuine satisfaction. I will also share with my readers updates on state of the art approaches and current research related to personal growth & development and psychotherapy.

Readers will gain new insights and learn concrete skills they can apply directly to their daily life and relationships. I will often focus on and write about anxiety, anger, relationship and marriage issues, mindfulness, neuroscience, and emotional regulation.
